What is Fire & Balsam?

Fire & Balsam is a set of two handcrafted balms made with wild‑harvested botanicals from British Columbia. One balm offers a cozy, warming sensation, while the other feels fresh and cooling on the skin, giving you two different ways to enjoy your daily body‑care rituals.

I'm Sarah, and the Balm of Gilead oil in both of these salves comes from cottonwood buds I gathered from windfall trees along Kootenay riverbanks. The forest gives generously when we listen. Every batch is made by hand in my Fruitvale kitchen, honoring what The Glade taught me about taking only what we need.

Fire & Balsam: Nature’s Warming & Cooling Balms

Wild‑Harvested Botanical Blends from British Columbia

This duo is inspired by traditional herbal practices—one balm with a gentle warming feel, one with a refreshing, cooling feel. Both are made with wild‑harvested snowbrush (Ceanothus velutinus) and Balm of Gilead (Populus balsamifera) from BC forests.

  • Fire Balm – A warming blend infused with forest botanicals, ideal for a cozy, post‑outdoor‑adventure self‑massage or evening wind‑down routine.
  • Balsam Balm – A cooling, aromatic balm with herbs often used in traditional body‑care preparations, perfect for a refreshing, end‑of‑day ritual.

Rooted in the rhythms of the land, these balms invite you to slow down and connect with nature as part of your everyday skin‑care practice.

The Glade Taught Me This

Definitely a comfort read
Format: Kindle
Just a comfy cozy nice long read. While this is definitely a SLOOOOOOOOWWWWW burn, this is how you do RH right; a nice long novel where you actually get to know the characters so you can feel more connected to them & the story, not to mention getting enough time to actually remember all their names haha. & they are all consent kings. Also I do so love me some double omega OV, siiiigh (heart eyes). I wish there had been juuust a bit more spice, like maybe just between Elias & others before MC was ready (made Elias feel a bit underdone or gimmicky without it), I did love this read. Low stress, comfy read. It could've used another round of editing for some minor errors & type issues but it wasn't bad enough to pull ne out of the story. Though I did giggle at 'knecks', thinking kuh-necks in my head. Overall I'd say 9/10

beautiful story
Format: Kindle
I absolutely love this book, however there is quite a bit repetition! The storyline makes up for it, a just skipped them. I like that this was a cozy read, it’s an omegaverse romance, but really barely read as OV, you get a little hierarchy and scent blockers, but if not for that you wouldn’t know. I love the romance aspect however, they take there time and move at her pace! A good read, with some errors, hopefully there is more to come!!

I loved the concept of the story but it went no where painfully slow! There was so much repetition that I skimmed and only paid attention whenever I saw quotation marks. I need...yes we know what you need....said 125 times grew frustrating and tiresome! And what does progressive mean in this boom? There are 3 alphas and 2 omegas...is that different or is it bc of the 3 alphas and Lucian was the really alpha one. The sex was very disappointing too....very G rated in my spice level. There is no epilogue and I think it was like 80 something chapters! I should have read the reviews but the sample got me good! What does soren do for a living? Are the men sexual w eachother bc they did not show that in this story if you are worried about that. It was jus so painstakingly slooowwwwww!!! I get why but dang! Just beware g rated and slow paced w alot of repetition!

It's great but be warned...
Format: Kindle
I enjoyed the idea of this story. I really did! The story was great, the characters were great, and I had a decent enough time reading. I did however, find myself forcing myself to finish this and skimming through a lot of the series. The pacing was slow which is fine, but it was repetitive. Every single conversation Lydia had with these men always had to have some deeper meaning. Even when I thought there would be a light hearted reprieve, it always ended with another lecture or bit of advice. It felt like I was watching her interact with her multitude of therapists than men she was being courted by. I understand this was a path of healing for her but it got very old very fast. It felt excessive in every way to me and this aspect never changed throughout the entire story. Imagine reading an overly inspirational self help book where they tried to make it interesting by throwing in romance? Which again, could work in many cases but it was so excessive to me. That being said, I still think it was a great story and I think everyone should give this a chance!

Absolutely perfect
Format: Kindle
All of the characters are so expertly developed. They all support Lydia with unwavering understanding while she slowly opens up. I liked that the main conflict wasn’t between the pack and it instead pulled them closer together. This is honestly such a perfect feel good cozy omegaverse. There were some typos sprinkled through out but not enough to be irritating.
